initiative to practice violin

December 15,2013  Sunday

Kieran woke up Sunday at 8 am,  after eating half of his cereal he went to the living room and picked up his violin and said "I feel like I want to practice my violin."  Wow, all this time I have been forcing him to practice every day, finally he is showing interest and getting into the habit.  Thank goodness! Although,  of all the days,  I told him he needs to get dress for an Advent Mass at school which starts in an hour.

Reasoning supper his way

Kieran wanted to eat cereal for supper last night.
Mommy and Daddy wanted him to eat "real food", seafood rice.
As we debated our positions Kieran said:
"The more you wait to give me cereal, the later supper gets!"

Mercy and I looked at each other, realizing the clever logic of his statement. Hes starting to reason and argue more and more.
